U.S. agency says many tetanus cases in drug users
ATLANTA (Reuters) - A substantial number of tetanus cases in the United States occur among intravenous drug users, federal health officials said Thursday. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said 47cases of tetanus were reported last year, though the actual figure was probably higher. Eleven of the cases were concentrated in California,leading it to review those.
