Description
The object of the Project is to administer Asian Well Women issues and address Social Care needs of Asian women for charitable purposes of relieving poverty, distress, unemployment, and social isolation.
Activities
The Project provides following services to meet the specific needs identified of Asian women:

Home Visits - Targeted at isolated women to bring them into a group situation to enable them to develop skills.

Mother and Toddler Group - Targeted at young mums to assist with their child's physical, mental and social, and creative development

Coffee Mornings - These promote knowledge, discussion and opportunity for women to seek professional advice.

Drop-in Service - Confidential support, advice and listening service offered.

Mobile Library Service - In conjunction with local library services for local women to access a range of English, Urdu and Arabic books.

Training Courses - Organising skills course such as Computer Assertiveness, Personal Safety etc. .

Volunteering - Recruits local women as volunteers to be involved in things such as fund-raising, advocacy, basic counselling, publicity, outreach work etc.

Mental Health Work - Group therapy sessions, Luncheon Club for elderly women, counselling.
